Outside Scholarships
Outside scholarships from other organizations are an additional way for students to contribute to the cost of a Trinity education. Information about these external sources of support is generally available through high school guidance offices, local libraries, community organizations, and through free internet search sites (some sites are located at the bottom of this page).
Scholarship awards received from sources other than Trinity must be reported to Trinity University's Office of Financial Aid. In accordance with federal regulations, external sources of aid must be counted as a resource toward meeting a student’s financial need and cost of attendance. Students who receive external scholarships will have their need-based awards re-evaluated. External awards will be used to replace student loans and campus employment before they affect need-based grants. Trinity University merit awards are unaffected by external scholarships as they are not awarded based on need, provided the combination of all awards remain within the cost of attendance for the applicable school year.
