SCHOLARSHIPS

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Almost 50% of Trinity students receive a merit-based scholarship. Students are considered for scholarships based on the following criteria:

  • academic preparation and performance
  • standardized testing
  • essay
  • co-curricular involvement
  • recommendations

Except where noted, no additional application is required; admissions applications are also used for scholarship evaluation.

National Science Foundation-Noyce Scholarship Program

WHO SHOULD APPLY:
---Juniors or Seniors at Trinity University majoring in the sciences, technology, or math who are committed to becoming teachers.
---Individuals from Trinity or other universities applying for the post-baccalaureate MAT program whose undergraduate major was in science, technology, or mathematics.
Trinity University Department of Education Recruiting New Math & Science Teachers for Public Schools
The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program, authorized under the National Science Foundation Authorization Act, seeks to encourage talented Science, technology, and mathematics major to become elementary, middle and high school teachers by offering scholarships of up to $10,000 per year for up to two years. Ten scholarships will be awarded to qualified seniors and post-baccalaureate candidates in their MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) year.
Noyce Scholars will join Trinity’s teacher preparation program and complete the MAT before entering the teaching profession. Successful candidates must commit contractually to teach in high-need public schools for a minimum of two years for each year of funding.
