One of the goals of our office is to assist students in completing the need-based financial aid process as efficiently as possible. Generally, once your FAFSA is submitted electronically, our office should receive the results within 3-5 business days. After our office receives your FAFSA results, one of the following may occur: we may be notified that you were selected for verification by the Department of Education, we may choose to select your file for verification, or we may simply generate your financial aid award pacakge. If you submit verification documents to our office, we will make every effort to have your file processed within 3 weeks. Please understand that during our peak processing times, it may take our office a bit longer to process your financial aid file.

Below is a brief schedule of important dates for you to note regarding the financial aid process at Trinity University.

FAFSA Priority Filing Date for Summer/Fall/Spring	May 1
FAFSA Priority Filing Date for Spring Only	November 1

DECEMBER

• Locate or apply for your FAFSA PIN and gather necessary documents to complete your initial or renewal FAFSA.

JANUARY

• FAFSA application available online after January 1 at www.fafsa.ed.gov

FEBRUARY

• If selected for verification, please submit requested documents to the Office of Financial Aid.

MARCH

• If selected for verification, please submit requested documents to the Office of Financial Aid.

APRIL

• If selected for verification, please submit requested documents to the Office of Financial Aid.

MAY

• May 1 is Trinity's priority deadline to submit your FAFSA application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
• The Financial Aid Office will begin preparing financial aid award packages after final Spring grades are posted.
• Set-up E-Refund with the Office of Student Accounts to have any potential refund electronically deposited to your personal bank account.

JUNE

• Financial aid award letters are mailed to students

JULY

• Be sure that your completed financial aid award letter has been signed and submitted to the Financial Aid Office.
• Be sure to complete any loan applications for loans you accepted on your award letter.

SEPTEMBER

• Contact the Office of Student Accounts at (210)999-7391, (210)999-7396 or student.accounts@trinity.edu to obtain your financial aid refund, if applicable.
