WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER I APPLY
Students are notified of Trinity academic scholarships, in their letter of acceptance. Notification for all other scholarships and need based aid, assuming your family has submitted the FAFSA, is April 1. If you have questions about your financial aid award, please call the Office of Financial Aid. Counselors are here to answer your questions and explain the various components of your financial aid. We’ll even help you compare financial aid awards to assist is making the best decision possible.
Going forward – How will your aid look in future years?
Generally, students who are eligible for need-based aid can expect that their total financial aid package will meet the same percentage of demonstrated need that has been met in previous years. Please note that changes in your family’s financial situation will affect the total of your financial aid award. If your family’s financial circumstances improve, you should expect that your need-based aid will likely decrease; similarly, if finances take a downturn it will generally lead to a greater total financial aid award. To help us assess your continued eligibility, you’ll be required to submit the FAFSA for each year that you wish to apply for need-based financial aid at Trinity.
Please note that funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, it is extremely important that you complete your FAFSA and submit any required documents at your earliest convenience.
Merit-based scholarships will remain constant as long as you meet the renewal criteria and remain enrolled full-time.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Office of Financial Aid at 800-TRINITY or financialaid@trinity.edu.
