PROSPECTIVE UNDERGRADUATES

Trinity offers new students the following:

both need-based assistance and merit-based scholarships
a monthly tuition payment plan
assistance with alternative loan options
information regarding outside funding sources

To find out what kind of financial aid and scholarships you might receive from Trinity, you must first submit your application for admission to the Univeristy. For more information about application procedures and deadlines, check out the "How to Apply" section of the admissions website.

Admitted undergraduate students will be notified of their complete financial aid package by April 1. Your award letter will list all scholarships and financial assistance programs for which you qualify. You will be able to accept or decline each scholarship, grant, campus employment opportunity, and loan that you are offered. To view a sample award letter and explanation click the link below:

2010-11 San Antonio First Generation Access Scholarship

The San Antonio First Generation Access Scholarship offers full-tuition for up to four years to select high-achieving students who graduate from a Bexar County public school, qualify for admission to Trinity University, qualify for need-based financial aid as determined by their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) results, and have parents who have not earned a 4-year college degree.

2010-11 Distinguished Scholar Award & Semmes Science Scholar Award

These awards are being offered to entering first year students who qualify. Students selected will receive full-tuition scholarships for up to four years, plus a $5,000 stipend. Semmes Science Scholars must major in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics. To apply, submit your application for admission by December 1 and your scholarship application by January 1.

TGSLC LOANS BY WEB

Trinity University, along with Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Coorporation (TGSLC), is using a Web-based process for a Stafford and/or PLUS loans. The site, called TG Loans By Web, will guide you step-by-step through completing and submitting a PLUS application. Completion of Stafford loan applications may occur after receiving notification from TGSLC that the application is ready.
