Pay Check Distribution and Direct Deposit

Payroll checks for university employees are distributed by the Office of Human Resources and may be picked up on scheduled pay days between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Student payroll checks are routed to campus mailboxes.

Employee checks are packaged by department and are picked up by an appointed staff member of that office.

During intervals between semesters or after graduation, student paychecks will be mailed to the permanent address currently on file. Other employees must make personal arrangements to have their paycheck mailed.

All employees and students are eligible to receive their wages electronically through direct deposit.  Submit an APPLICATION FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT (see example) along with a voided check to the Payroll Office located in Northrup Hall, room 108C.  All new requests will be tested initially to ensure proper routing.

Direct deposit has many advantages to the employee:

     *  Safe and secure delivery of wages to just one and even multiple accounts
     *  No cash checking fees
     *  Most banks will offer free checking with direct deposit
     *  Funds are available at the employee's bank at the opening of the business day
