The department accepts applications beginning October 1 for admission in fall of the following year. Application files are evaluated on a rolling admission basis; therefore, the earlier an applicant submits all of the materials described below, the earlier he or she will receive an admission decision. For optimal consideration, applicants are encouraged to apply much earlier than July 1. Required application materials include:

1. Completed Trinity application form for admission to graduate study.
Application

2. Completed Executive Program application form.

    Executive Application for Admission

3.  A $30.00 non-refundable application fee, payable by check to Trinity University.

4. Official transcripts, not more than one year old, from all colleges and universities previously attended.

5. Aptitude test scores from either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management
Admission Test (GMAT). Official scores should be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service. Scores over five years old are no longer valid, and the test must be retaken. Applicants with a prior graduate degree are not required to take the GRE or GMAT.

6. A résumé or autobiographical sketch detailing your educational background and employment experience.

7. A brief statement of purpose (1-2 pages typed and double-spaced) explaining your reasons for selecting a career in health care administration.

8. Two letters of recommendation from individuals who are familiar with your academic and/or employment performance.

All application materials should be submitted to:

Trinity University
Department of Health Care Administration
One Trinity Place, #58
San Antonio, Texas 78212-7200

Once an applicant's file is complete, the Admissions Committee reviews it on an individual basis to determine if academic criteria are met. Following this review, an invitation for faculty interview will be determined. The admissions committee makes a recommendation to the Chair, Health Care Administration Department at Trinity after review of all application materials and interview evaluations. The final step is to notify the applicant by mail of his or her admission status.

The above information and further details about university policies are available in the annual Trinity University Courses of Study publication. Assuming an applicant meets the academic criteria for graduate admission, Trinity does not discriminate in admissions on the basis of race, color, age, religion, sex, marital status, national origin, or disability, veteran or disabled veteran status. Any questions or complaints relative to discrimination should be referred to the Director of Personnel Services. The Section 504/Americans with Disabilities Act compliance officer is the Associate Vice President for Fiscal Affairs.
