On the above map, Trinity
University is located slightly north of downtown San Antonio
between two major highways, IH-10 and US 281. To reach
Trinity exit Hildebrand Avenue (turn east off of IH-10 or
west off of US 281). Look for a traffic light at Shook Ave.
and turn south (away from the fork in the road). Shook Ave.
is between McCullough Ave. and Stadium Drive. You will pass
one of these two streets depending on which direction you
are coming. Shook Ave. is in a residential neighborhood.
After you turn on Shook Ave., take your first left onto East
Rosewood. This street ends at our building, Chapman Graduate
Center, which is located at the northwest corner of
Trinity's campus. Visitor parking is on your left. Enter
through the main doors and take the small elevator, in the
hallway to your left, to the fourth floor. (The stairs in
our building are confusing, so we recommend the elevator.)
Our office is the first one after you exit the elevator.
San Antonio has
maintained its historic past while evolving into a
progressive, cosmopolitan city. It is one of the ten largest
cities in the United States with a population of well over
than one million. In spite of its size, San Antonio has one
of the lowest costs of living among large U.S. cities and a
friendly South Texas attitude. The city offers residents
many diverse cultural and recreational possibilities.
Although most famous for the Riverwalk, Mexican food and the
Alamo, San Antonio has many historic landmarks, a strong
arts community, and a calendar full of festivals and
celebrations. Sports are also well represented in the city
with the San Antonio Spurs NBA team, minor league baseball,
an ice hockey team, and various other athletic events.
Geographically, the city has a modified subtropical climate.
The average temperature is 86 degrees with winters being
especially mild. San Antonio is located within driving
distance of the Gulf Coast beaches, rolling Texas Hill
Country, and the colorful country of Mexico.
The San Antonio economy is an ideal complement to a graduate
program in Health Care Administration. Healthcare and
Bioscience is the area's largest industry sector,
contributing an economic impact of $12 billion in 2002. This
large industry sector includes both providers of health
services (e.g. hospitals and physicians) as well as a
variety of related industries that support health care (e.g.
pharmaceuticals and medical equipment). More information
about the city may be obtained at

Chamber of Commerce or by calling
