Primary Function:  As Site Manager: Plans, manages, directs and controls the efficient, cost effective, high quality clinic operations providing healthcare services to members.  Manages and directs all operational areas in delivering healthcare services of high clinical and service quality while meeting or exceeding annual established revenue growth, cash flow, profit contribution and member satisfaction goals.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Builds a high quality, service-oriented team through recruitment, training, continuous improvement and succession

·         Manages and oversees daily operations of a multi-disciplinary clinical team to include delegation of day-to-day decision making to supervisors/team leaders, resolves cross-functional problems, and coaches/counsels employees as needed.

·         Makes operational a strong service orientation through a delivery model based on quality of service and care.

·         Coordinates with key health plan staff with budget development and management of operations to assure compliance with site budget

·         Analyzes on an ongoing basis, financial information, reporting trends and patterns, to identify opportunities for improvement 

·         Works with staff to continually develop and implement ideas for delivering higher quality, more cost-effective services

·         Facilitates compliance with local and federal regulations and corporate Standard Operating Procedures

·         Develops action plans in the event of deviation from compliance policies

·         Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the site and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

·         Associated responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

·         Physician relationships, schedules, performance monitoring

·         Evaluate the education and competency needs of the staff

·         Review and monitor staffing levels and productivity

·         Maintains professional licenses and affiliations for the site.

·         Conduct routine employee staff meetings

·         Maintain employee files with appropriate documents

·         Control management of overtime

·         Implement and maintain OSHA compliance and related policies and procedures. 

·         Operational reporting of facility activities as defined by HealthSpring. 

·         Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Manages subordinate supervisors/team leaders who supervise other employees in the patient care departments.

  

Required Education & Experience:

·         Bachelor degree in health or business administration, Masters preferred

·         Minimum of five years of experience in health care administration

·         Ability to manage multiple organizational initiatives

·         Experience in application of business principles to clinical practice required

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

·         Electronic health record experience strongly preferred

·         Effective presentation skills are required.

·         Analytical and project management skills are essential.

·         Ability to work effectively with all levels of administrative and professional personnel with the ability to creatively anticipate and solve problems.

·         Exceptional verbal and written communications skills are essential.

Computer Skills:

·         Knowledge of computer competencies (i.e. Word processing, spreadsheets, presentation preparation, and database management) is necessary

·         Word, excel and access experience preferred

·         Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System preferred
