The position will report to the Vice President of Operations for
Freestanding Hospitals. The individual will
have full responsibility for a 35-bed
Rehabilitation Hospital. Incumbent will plan, organize, direct, and manage the current operations, future
growth, and program development for the hospital, while ensuring responsible
use of fiscal, human and physical resources. Incumbent will be responsible for
ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost effective care to the
community. This role is responsible for
the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives and leading the
staff to ensure the continuing success of the hospital.
Key responsibilities
include:
- Establish the strategic direction for
the hospital while assuring the day-to-day operations are appropriately
executed.
- Ensure the highest quality
rehabilitation services are provided to establish and maintain the program
as the healthcare provider and employer of choice.
- Ensure profitable operations that
meet short and long term business goals.
- Responsible for fiscal or financial
management of the facility.
- Develop and manage the operating and
capital budgets.
- Responsible for leadership and
management of all administrative, clinical, and physical resources.
- Responsible for development and
execution of marketing strategies for the facility.
- Responsible for building a network of
Physicians and Healthcare providers.
- Responsible for all Clinical
oversight and supervision within the facility.
- Build successful, long term
relationships with clients, institutions, and the community.
- Manage the staffing, team performance
and development activities.
Demonstrate the leadership and collaborative management style to
promote the team concept as the mode of operation.
- Ensure that the day-to-day activities
adhere to governmental and corporate policies, practices and regulations.
- Ensure the ongoing development,
implementation and management of systems for client satisfaction/customer
service, quality improvement, productivity enhancement, program evaluation
and patient information management.
- Responsible for leadership and
management of all administrative, clinical, and physical resources.
The successful
candidate will have:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a
health related, business, or human services area.
- A minimum of five years or more senior
administrative management experience in healthcare.
- Demonstrated success managing in a
fast paced hospital, health, or human services environment.
- A physical rehabilitation background
and/or experience working with a geriatric and/or disabled population is
desirable.
- Strong financial acumen and
experience with budget management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills including the ability to work effectively in a collaborative
environment with clients, management staff, physicians, and nurses.
- The ability to work effectively with
patients, families, and the community.
- Strong organizational skills and
proficiency with IT and its application to the workplace.
- Unquestioned ethics, as well as a
demonstrated record of working with sensitive, confidential records and
materials.
