Welcome to the  Arabic Program at Trinity University

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures was notified in March that we were chosen to host a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching (FLTA) fellow in Arabic for academic year 2006-07. FLTAs are master’s degree holders and native speakers of less commonly taught languages who spend a year at US universities teaching their native tongues while simultaneously taking coursework in American studies.

Our FLTA this year will be Mr. Adel Lagha from Tunisia. He received his DEA (diplôme d'études approfondies) degree in English literature from Faculté des Lettres, La Manouba (University of Manouba, Tunis) in 2002 and has been teaching at the Naval Academy of Tunisia.

In the fall, Mr. Lagha will teach ARAB 1401 and ARAB 2301.
