A PEER-REVIEWED UNDERGRADUATE PHILOSOPHY JOURNAL
Current undergraduates are to submit papers that to be between 1500 and 3500 words in length. Papers should avoid unnecessary technicality and strive to be accessible to the widest possible audience without sacrificing clarity or rigor. They are evaluated on the following criteria: depth of inquiry, quality of research, creativity, lucidity, and originality.
Submissions are to be prepared for blind review and must include a cover page with the author’s name, affiliation, title, and email address. Papers should have no other identifying markers. Submissions are to be sent as attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deadline: Monday, December 17, 2007
Stance is a project of the Ball State University chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, an international undergraduate honor society for philosophy.
Please find attached a Call For Papers for Vol. 4 of Stance: An Undergraduate Philosophy Journal. Stance is a national, peer-reviewed, peer-produced, academic journal that publishes papers by current undergraduate students.
Authors of published papers will receive a free print version of the journal. By April 2008 the Stance staff should have created a full digital presence. Beyond a website, the journal will be electronically housed in an academic library in an open source format.
Please encourage your students with superior work to submit a paper. Also, please distribute this CFP widely.
I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
