Job Description:
The Program/Project Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing
assigned portions related to the designated program on the Scholar Experience
Team. Program/Project Coordinators may be responsible for supervising the
Faculty Advisors and/or Operations Team Members and monitoring the participants’
experiences during the programs.
- Supervise assigned team of Faculty Advisors/Operations Team members.
- Implement programs handling all on-site issues (staffing, scholar issues, and
vendor issues).
- Plan and produce Faculty Advisor/ Operations Team training sessions and
relevant training materials.
- Evaluate the quality of performance of the Faculty Advisors/ Operations Team.
- Monitor students’ experiences including assisting students with questions,
concerns, and handling special arrangements during the program.
- Coordinate residential and meeting facility services.
- Serve as liaison for vendors.
- Participate in curriculum brainstorming sessions and produce written student
materials.
- Conduct Faculty Advisor/ Operations Team interviews.
- Conduct staff meetings for the Faculty Advisors/ Operations Team during the
program.
- Handle routine student discipline and emergency/crisis situations.
- Implement medical policy.
- Coordinate arrival and departure of participants.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner to various audiences
(participants’ parents, vendors, speakers, supporting organizations, etc.).
- Coordinate and communicate program or team schedule of activities via use of
calendar and other tools as may be appropriate.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem solving skills for field-based
situations (staff management, student issues, weather/event alterations etc.)
These decisions will often be done with the supervision of the immediate
supervisor or in close consultation with him/her.
- Provide recommendations for hiring temporary staff.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of managerial, event planning and experiential education
preferred.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree required.
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong supervisory and managerial skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and work on various projects
simultaneously.
- Able to work extended days and hours as dictated by program needs.
- Must be able to reside at the program site during program implementation.
- Knowledge of child/adult developmental and learning theory.
- Must have professional experience facilitating educational leadership
programs.
- Prior experience working with specific age group of program participants
preferred.
