How You Can Participate
We welcome your involvement in our program!
There are many ways in which you can be a part of the solution, including:
- FEEDING – Feeding schedules are set up on a semester basis. Volunteers choose a day and location most convenient for them, with a promise to inform the Alliance if their feeding obligation cannot be met, so the cats do not go hungry. Substitute feeders are needed for University holidays, as well as summer feeders when students are not on campus. Food is provided. To sign up to be a feeder, contact Rose Cohen-Brown at rcohenbr@trinity.edu.
- DONATIONS – If you want to participate but don’t have time to feed, we welcome your financial support! Your support provides resources for spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, ear tipping, and other occasional veterinary care as well as daily feeding. Every effort is greatly appreciated.
- SPONSORSHIP – You can sponsor a cat for a semester, or a year. Food for one cat for one semester is $25; for $75 you will ensure that one cat can have enough to eat for one year. If you want to become a Gold Sponsor, you can sponsor the TNR Veterinary Package for $125; that provides the veterinary assessment, surgery, vaccinations, and ear tipping for one of our un-inducted cats, and also gets you a photo of the cat you sponsor as well as regular news about “your” cat!
We are also always in need of dry cat food (any brand) and other items such as:
- Old towels
- Heavy ceramic or stainless steel watering bowls (the uglier the better; pretty ones tend to disappear!)
- Portable cat carriers
