Course Numbers
Course numbers at Trinity consist of four digits:
- The first digit indicates the level of the course: 1 or 2 designates lower division, 3 or 4 designates upper division.
- The second digit indicates the value of the course in semester hours (credit hours).
- The third and fourth digits identify specific courses within the subject area.
For example, course 2401 would indicate it is: lower division (2401), 4 semester hours (2401), and specific course 01 (2401).
