What has Trinity meant to you?

To me, Trinity meant that I was getting the best education possible and having virtually every door opened that I could imagine. I had the opportunity to do anything I wanted. I now feel like I am armed with the experience and knowledge that will make it possible for me to further my education and pursue a career in social work.

What will be some of your best memories of Trinity?

Some of my best Trinity memories include the hours I spent in the Campus and Community Involvement office, where I worked on TUVAC (Trinity University Volunteer Action Community) activities. I was the director of TUVAC in 2005-06, and interacted with the CCI staff and fellow student leaders. The staff and students in that building are amazingly fun and helpful, and it made being a student leader fun. I also remember hanging out in the dorms with my friends and hall mates, and being a part of the sorority Sigma Theta Tau.

How has your education prepared you for life after college?

I feel like I was challenged in a way that has prepared me to take on new and exciting challenges.

Favorite professors?

Even though I am not an English major, I count Coleen Grissom as one of my favorite professors. She encouraged my writing and reading skills and challenged me enough to become a better writer. Cynthia Gentry (sociology) was one of the reasons I became a sociology major. She is able to connect with her classes on a comfortable level that makes learning fun and interesting.
