PHILIP COOLEY

Corporate and investment finance; stock market; financial planning; consumer research

Distinguished professor of business administration; expert on corporate and investment finance, financial planning for individuals and the stock market. Has published extensively on financial topics including cash management, capital budgeting, working capital management, capital structure and mergers and acquisitions. Recent articles include “Retirement Savings: Choosing a Withdrawal Rate That Is Sustainable,” American Association of Individual Investors Journal, and “Sustainable Withdrawal Rates from Your Retirement Portfolio,” Financial Counseling and Planning. Serves on the editorial board of Financial Review, Journal of Managerial Issues and Journal of Small Business Finance; and is a member of the board of advisors of the Credit Research Center, Georgetown University.
