Assistant professor of sociology and anthropology; current research is in urban geography, particularly urban fragmentation and the consequent social reproduction of race, class, ethnicity, and gender relationships; also interested in the revitalization of inner-city neighborhoods; teaches a course which uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which can take several different databases and overlay the information over a computer map. |
