Associate professor of anthropology and sociology; research in deviant behavior and criminology including handgun control, culture and crime, abducted children, pornography and rape, sexual harassment in high schools, and societal attitudes toward homosexuals; research also includes the social-legal-ethical implications of the human genome project, the mapping of the genetic code; contributor to Criminology: A Contemporary Handbook; former staff assistant in the New Orleans Sheriff’s Office.
