Trinity University Included In Princeton Review's The Best 361 Colleges-2006 Edition
SAN ANTONIO - Trinity University is one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features Trinity in the new 2006 edition of The Best 361 Colleges, its annual "best colleges" guide. Only about 15 percent of the four-year colleges in America are included in the book.
The annual guide recognizes Trinity for its rigorous academic profile. "The academics are very strong no matter the major you choose" commented one student. Another student noted "(There is) a sense of community that most other campuses don't have." In addition, the annual guide recognized Trinity for its "small classes, great computer facilities, and great library." The annual guide also features rankings in categories related to college life. Trinity's residence halls are included in a category called "Dorms Like Palaces."
"The main factor in our selection of schools in the book was our high regard for their academic programs." said Robert Franek, vice president of publishing for The Princeton Review. "We evaluated them based on institutional data we collect about the schools, feedback from students, and visits to the schools." The Princeton Review also considers the opinions of independent college counselors, students and parents to help with the selection process.
Trinity University, founded in 1869, is one of the nation's top private undergraduate institutions. Noted for its superior academic quality, outstanding faculty, and exceptional academic and residential resources, Trinity is committed to the intellectual, civic, and professional preparation of its students.
