Trinity University to Present Sounds of the Season at Annual Christmas Concert

SAN ANTONIO - Trinity University will host its annual Christmas concert, an endearing San Antonio holiday tradition that rings in the season like the luminarias on the Riverwalk. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, in Laurie Auditorium and will feature members of the various Trinity choirs, the Trinity Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Parker Handbell Choir.  The one-night-only concert is free and open to all.  No tickets or reservations are required.

The concert will feature several Christmas favorites, including "March of the Toys," "What Child is This?" and "The 12 Days of Christmas."  The Trinity Symphony Orchestra will perform the Mannheim Steamroller arrangement of "Stille Nacht" and the Parker Handbell Choir will perform "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Up on the Housetop." The concert will also include a reading of The Night Before Christmas as well as a performance by a percussion ensemble. The program will end with the ever popular audience sing-along.

After the concert, audience members will be treated to seasonal music performed by the Trinity Jazz ensemble in the lobby of Laurie Auditorium.
