In addition, Brian Massa, now a junior from Iowa City, Iowa, won a Best News Photo award from ASPA.

"Winning awards is very affirming, but getting entries to the right contests is an effort," said Katherine Martin, publications coordinator for Trinity.  "Editor Lia Lamm had such confidence in the Trinitonian staff and its work last year she diligently set about getting the paper the recognition that was its due."

The Mirage, Trinity's yearbook,  received the Gallery of Excellence Award for 2004 from the Walsworth Publishing Company, a leading publisher of scholastic yearbooks from around the world.  The award is given to yearbooks that "consistently demonstrate superior quality."  The Mirage has received this award for several years in a row.
