Trinity University to Celebrate Darwin Day
SAN ANTONIO
– In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s
birth, the Trinity University Darwin Day Committee has organized the
following events:

Monday, Feb. 2 to
Saturday, Feb. 14 – A Darwin Day exhibit recognizing the significance
of Charles Darwin’s accomplishments will be on display in the Coates
Library, third floor. For more information, contact Jennifer Mathews at

Tuesday, Feb. 3 – A
film screening and panel discussion will be held at 7 p.m. in Chapman
Auditorium. The documentary Kansas vs. Darwin will be followed
by a panel discussion with Trinity University professors Mackenzie Brown
(religion), James Ivy (history), David Ribble (biology), and Pastor
Mitchell Jonakin (Laurel Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church). For more

Thursday, Feb. 12 –
Dr. Ronald Numbers, University of Wisconsin, will present the lecture
“Anti-evolution in America: From Scientific Creationism to Intelligent
Design” at 7 p.m. in the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall. For more
