SAN ANTONIO – The Trinity University Alumni Association will honor three seniors for outstanding service to the University and to San Antonio. They are:

n                          Kevin P. Eaton of Plano, Texas, will be recognized for his dedication and commitment to the University,

n                          Jennifer C. Robicheaux of Friendswood, Texas, will be honored for her outstanding service to the San Antonio community, and

A panel of Trinity alumni interviewed finalists and selected the winners.

Mr. Eaton, a biology major, is being lauded for building lifelong relationships between and among current students, the campus community, and alumni through his service, initiative, leadership, and loyalty. This year, he has been named one of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He also belongs to three other academic honor societies. Ms. Robicheaux, who is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology, is cited for service that builds relationships between Trinity and San Antonio. She has participated in the Travis Park Homeless Health and Vision Clinic on a regular basis since August 2006 and, as a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, has taken part in blood drives and Habitat for Humanity activities. She was a leader three years in the San Antonio Plunge service orientation camp and volunteered in the hematology and oncology unit at Methodist Children’s Hospital. On campus, she has conducted biochemistry research almost continually since she arrived at Trinity in the fall of 2005. Named twice to the Dean’s List and a member of the pre-med honor society, she made poster presentations at two national meetings of the American Chemical Society (ACS). She also participated in a Study Abroad program in New Zealand.

Mr. Dailey, also a biochemistry and molecular biology major and with minors in business administration and economics, is recognized for service to both the University and the city. He is the 2008-2009 president of the Blue Key Honor Society and member of four other honor societies and has been named to the Dean’s List six semesters. He is a member of the American Medical Student Association, Chemistry Club, TUVAC, and ACS, and attended professional conferences of the ACS and the National Science Foundation. He has been a chemistry teaching assistant, peer tutor, and stockroom assistant. He also was on the Student Conduct Board for the 2008-2009 academic year. In addition, he was a member of the baseball team for one year.
