Trinity University Featured as “Best Buy” in
Fiske Guide to Colleges
SAN
ANTONIO – Fiske Guide to Colleges 2010, an independent
publication offering information and advice to students and parents
searching for a school, features Trinity University as one of the guide’s
“Best Buys” in the nation. Of the more than 300 schools profiled in the
current Fiske Guide, only 24 private institutions and 20 public
colleges and universities received the endorsement. According to the guide,
the institutions were awarded the “Best Buy” label for offering “outstanding
academics with relatively modest prices.”
Along with
citing Trinity as a “Best Buy,” the Fiske Guide recognized the
University for:
-
Being “one
of the few quality Southwestern liberal arts colleges found in a major
city.”
-
Offering a
diverse curriculum that offers business, education, and engineering in
addition to the liberal arts.
-
Having a
student body “comprised of smart, ambitious men and women” as well as
“knowledgeable and caring faculty.”
The guide’s
profile also includes several quotes from Trinity students:
-
“It’s
friendly, warm, personal, engaged, and academically stimulating.”
-
“Trinity
classes are challenging but they are not impossible.”
-
“The students
at Trinity are infused with a sense of global welfare. They are not
self-important.”
The Fiske
Guide to Colleges has been published annually for more than 25 years. A
best-seller among college guides, it highlights “the best and most
interesting” schools in the United States.
