The Real Inspector Hound opens Trinity Theater’s Season

SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University’s production of The Real Inspector Hound – an adaptation of an Agatha Christie story that combines murder with humor – kicks off the University’s 2009-2010 theater season.  Performances will be held at the Jane and Arthur Stieren Theater, located in the Ruth Taylor Theatre Building on the Trinity campus.

Opening weekend is Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4. Performances will continue Wednesday, Oct. 7 through Saturday, Oct. 10.  Curtain times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for students.

As the mists rise around a spooky estate on the wild Scottish moors, Inspector Hound is on the trail of an escaped madman bent on revenge.  Playwright Tom Stoppard dusts off every classic clue, dramatic cliché, and baffling red herring to create a hilarious spoof of Agatha Christie-like whodunits. But this one is a killer!

For more information or to make reservations, call the Ruth Taylor box office at 210-999-8515 or stop by the theater box office Monday through Friday between 2 and 5 p.m. or one hour prior to each performance.
