Trinity University Speech and Drama Department presents Urinetown: The Musical

SAN ANTONIO – The speech and drama department at Trinity University will continue its 2009-2010 theater season with Urinetown: The Musical, one of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years.  Performances will be held in the Stieren Theater, located in the Ruth Taylor Theater Building on the campus of Trinity University. Opening weekend is Friday, Nov. 13 to Sunday, Nov. 15 with performances continuing from Wednesday, Nov. 18 to Saturday, Nov. 21. Curtain times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for students.

Urinetown is a wild saga of greed, corruption, romance, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. A water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, brings a government ban on private toilets.  An evil monopoly regulates and charges admission for one our most basic needs. Urinetown is an engaging satire of corporate deviousness, bureaucracy, and Broadway musicals.

For more information or to make reservations, call 210-999-8515 or stop by the theater box office Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. or one hour prior to each performance. Advanced reservations are strongly suggested for this production.
