Contemporary Musical Theater

March 10, 2000  - Stage director and choreographer Keith Cromwell will present a look at "Contemporary Musical Theater" as part of Trinity University's Stieren Arts Enrichment Series.  The event will take place Monday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jane and Arthur Stieren Theater and is free and open to the public.

Cromwell recently choreographed When Pigs Fly!, a Los Angeles show that has earned a two-year stretch off-Broadway and won numerous awards.  Cromwell's other credits include work as a director and choreographer of the productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Damn Yankees, and State Fair.  As an actor, Cromwell has been a cast member of First Broadway National Tours productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, La Cage Aux Folles, and the off-Broadway hit Whoop-Dee-Doo!

During his stay at Trinity, Cromwell will also direct a student version of the musical Cabaret in April.

The Stieren Arts Enrichment Series is made possible through an endowment created by Jane and Arthur Stieren of San Antonio.
