Award-Winning Newsweek Columnist Robert Samuelson Next Guest of Trinity’s Policy Maker Breakfast Series

Nov. 12, 2002 – Robert Samuelson, a contributing editor for Newsweek, will be the next speaker at Trinity University’s Policy Maker Breakfast Series.  Mr. Samuelson will give a presentation titled “The Rise of Untruth” at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the DoubleTree Hotel’s Tamayo Ballroom.  Tickets are $35 and reservations should be made three days in advance to guarantee seating.  Reservations can be made by calling the office of conferences and special programs at (210) 999-7601.

Mr. Samuelson is one of Newsweek’s most recognized writers for his biweekly columns analyzing and reporting on socioeconomic issues. In addition to his Newsweek column,

The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Boston Globe.  Most recently he is author of Untruth – Why the Conventional Wisdom is (Almost Always) Wrong concerning today’s socioeconomic issues.

He has won many journalism awards during his career, including the John Hancock Award for Best Business and Financial Columnist, the Gerald Loeb Award for Best Commentary, and a National Magazine Award.
