Newsweek’s Chief Political Correspondent to Speak
at Policy Maker Breakfast

Newsweek's Howard FinemanNov. 18, 2003   Howard Fineman, Newsweek’s chief political correspondent, senior editor, and deputy Washington bureau chief, will provide an insightful discussion at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, titled “The Political Horizon.”  His presentation is part of Trinity University’s Policy Maker Breakfast Series and will take place in the Tamayo Ballroom of  the DoubleTree Hotel located at Loop 410 and McCullough Avenue. Tickets are $35, and reservations should be made three days in advance to guarantee seating.  Reservations can be made by calling the office of conferences and special programs at (210) 999-7601.

Mr. Fineman has covered Congress and national elections for Newsweek since 1980.  He is nationally known as a writer and commentator on politics, and has interviewed and covered every president since Jimmy Carter.  Mr. Fineman is also a familiar face on television as an

NBC News analyst, contributing reports to shows on NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC. 

He holds a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Colgate University, an M.S. in journalism from Columbia, and a J.D. from the University of Louisville.  He has received Watson and Pulitzer Traveling Fellowships for study in Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.
