Students Sean Bean, Blair Condon, Libby Day, Amalya Haver, and Phillip LaDeau designed an apartment-style urban compound that would accommodate from nine to 18 people. Their project, titled New Dynamics: A Fresh Angle on Living, was “inspired by suite-style living,” said Mr. Bean.
Describing the concept, Ms. Drennan said the design reflects that period of time just after college when a communal setting is familiar to young people. This model features a two-story apartment building with an angled roof much like a famous design by the architect Le Corbusier.
“With all our energy saving features, each resident’s energy bill would be about $9.50,” said Ms. Day.
