April 23, 2009 To: The Trinity University Community I am pleased to share with you the candidate specification document to be used in connection with the search for a new president of Trinity University.
This is one of the most important documents in the recruitment process. The
candidate specification document, which will be widely disseminated in both
electronic and “hard” copy form, describes the University in detail, outlines
the challenges and opportunities facing Trinity, and lists the traits the University
is looking for in the new president. Our hope is that the document will attract
candidates who recognize Trinity’s merits and are excited by its future
possibilities. Next week, Ms. Storbeck and I will be on campus to listen to your ideas, address your concerns, and answer your questions. The April 30th “Open Forum” is an opportunity for your voice to be heard. All meetings will take place in the Chapman Auditorium. Please visit the Presidential Search Web site for times of meetings for students, staff, and faculty. I encourage each of you to follow the progress of the search by visiting the Presidential Web site, which contains all progress reports as well as contact information should you wish to discuss any aspect of the committee’s work. On behalf of the committee, thank you for your input and interest. |
Sincerely, Mr. John R. (J.R.) Hurd, Hurd Enterprises, LTD, 7373 Broadway, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78209 |
