To the Trinity University Community:

I am pleased to share with you an update from the Presidential Search Committee. Our search has attracted a deep, highly-qualified, and diverse pool of candidates, despite significant competition from other top-ranked colleges also conducting presidential searches.

The Search Committee has reviewed written materials from more than 100 candidates, 39 percent of which are women or minority applicants. This week we selected a small number of candidates for face-to-face interviews. These interviews will be designed to determine which candidate’s skill set most closely matches the University’s needs and strategic direction.

After we complete the first round of interviews, we will invite a reduced number of candidates for a second interview.  The final step will be to select finalists to present to the Trustees in time for the Board to choose a new President at the regularly scheduled September meeting.

The number of highly-qualified applicants for the presidency of Trinity University underscores that Trinity is a place where outstanding educators want to be and where the opportunity to be a leader in higher education is enticing.
