Sophomore
College is initiative born out of the
Upperclass Task Force Report. Its intention is to address those
needs specific to our sophomores with particular focus on health issues,
service, and identity exploration. In addition, Sophomore College
intends to establish a greater sense of support and class identity
within this group of students. We adopted this initiative to ensure
sophomore students continue to engage in the Trinity community, are
provided services that are specific to their developmental needs, and to
increase retention between the sophomore and junior year.
Students
involved with Sophomore College can expect the following components to
be included in their residential experience:
-
Resident Assistants optimize the
sophomore experience through four basic components:
-
Active Programming (areas include:
academic life; career development and exploration; personal
growth and wellness; diversity, multiculturalism and

career aspirations, etc.)
-
Passive Programs (includes
supportive materials in the areas of health, identity
exploration and service)

Brothers & Big Sisters. Following this each building will select
