HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED IN TRINITY DEBATE

Trinity University is pleased to offer a competitive program open to anyone interested in participating in intercollegiate debate. While prior high school policy debate experience is beneficial, numerous Trinity students with no previous debate background or exclusive involvement in Lincoln-Douglas debate have achieved significant and continuing success. In an effort to accommodate the needs of squad members, the debate program offers great flexibility in tournament and travel scheduling. The Speech and Drama Department offers SPCH 2140: Forensics every semester for those students participating in debate. This class can be repeated for one credit hour up to six semesters and may be applied to a major or minor in Speech.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Trinity University debate program should contact Jarrod Atchison, Debate Director at Jarrod.atchison@trinity.edu or by calling (210) 999-8582.
