The new E-parent nears its first issue Parents and Family Members, Trinity web-master Scott Sowards designed this template for the TrinitE Newsletter. I hope you like it and it serves you well in the months ahead. I will be experimenting with various topic headings, as this forum will certainly take some time to evolve. Below is a sample of some of the areas I am already considering. If you have ideas of what you would find most helpful in this newsletter, please pass them on to me. This newsletter is for you, so let's make it relevant. This is merely a test issue. The first real issue is scheduled to be distributed on September 5. That will give us some time to get the halls opened, classes started, and for some issues to surface to address. This newsletter will announce events, but is not simply a calendar. I encourage family members to subscribe to LeeRoy, a daily calendar, to learn about campus activities. It is full of information. I also invite you to review my blog, which includes Trinity-related posts. You can subscribe to my blog to receive new posts as they are sent. Feel free to contact me with your ideas about this newsletter at dtuttle@trinity.edu. Sincerely, David Tuttle Events Your Student Should Consider WELCOME WEEK! This year we are planning programs and activities for all class levels. There will be educational, developmental and social options for everyone. Your student will want to get settled and connect with friends. Encourage them to check out some of these other things to get re-connected and get off to a strong start. Click here to learn more. Rumors Heard on campus... The t-shirts that will be worn by the Team Trinity welcome crew were designed based on a suggestion from student helpers last year. The design is of a team of tiger piranha picking a vehicle clean! The Class Marshal and Alumni Sponsor will be in special yellow t-shirts - the rest are maroon. Behind the Scenes The Residential Life student staff is back and going through orientation to serve their residents as effectively as possible. Many others have returned to prepare for orientation and welcome week. Finally, our fall athletes are arriving early to prepare for their seasons. The Difference The difference between… The Trinity Parent and Family newsletter is a hard copy newsletter that is distributed to all parents twice in the fall and once in the spring, with a special summer edition for parents of new families.
