DEADLINE and DEGREE AUDITS
Importance: High
Some quick notes regarding stewardship of your
transcripts and your Trinity degree:
Taking Care of
YOUR Transcripts
-
Deficient mid-term grades of D or F have
been filed. Students and advisors will receive e-mails of any deficient
mid-term grades within the next 24 hours.
-
The
last day a student may withdraw from a course is October 30.
-
Talk with the professors in these classes
if you are unsure how to proceed. If you decide to withdraw, you need
to do so by the withdrawal deadline. The Registrar’s Office has the
necessary paperwork and you will need the professor’s signature, as well
as your advisor’s signature. After 5
p.m. on the 30th, the only way to withdraw from a class is to provide me
with documentation of an emergency situation (e.g., hospitalization).
The professor of the class will also have to support you in this request
for an exception to policy.
Taking Care of
YOUR TU Degree
-
Review your degree
audit online via Tiger Paws before you are advised.
It is what it says—it checks to see if you will get a degree!!! It
will audit your Common Curriculum, declared majors and/or minors and
even runs “what if I major in sociology” audits for the undeclared among
you. (Yes, it runs majors other than sociology; that was simply an
intriguing example that came to mind.) It is crucial that you know how
to read your degree audit. If you do not yet know how to read these,
make sure to ask your advisor for help.
I sincerely wish each of you a strong finish
in the final seven weeks of the semester. Please remember to take care of
YOU.
