Dear Class of 2012ers,

Dave Mansen and I are looking forward to continuing our new “First of the Month” gathering.  This year Nov. 1 falls on a Saturday, and a busy Saturday at that with the big football game and other Trinity events happening and post-Halloween.  So we thought we’d move our gathering to Monday, Nov. 3 and, keeping with the theme of moving things, try for lunch in the Coates Center.  Look for us at a table with the maroon “Class of 2012” banner – we’ll be there from 12:00-1:00 to try to catch multiple waves of you between your Monday classes.   Stop by and ask advising questions, tell us about your fall break, tell us how things at Trinity are going, ask us questions about San Antonio or Trinity or anything else!   Because Dave is driving in from a bit of a distance, if you know you will be stopping by can you drop me/us a short note so Dave will be able to gauge whether he should drive in for our lunch?  Thanks!

Dear Class of 2012,

 

Dave Mansen, your class Alumni Sponsor, and I were at a meeting today and we came up with a new idea that we want to try out…. In an effort to get to know more of you and also provide opportunities for interaction and support, we want to start a “First Day of the Month” Gathering with you.  We are thinking that perhaps on the first day of every month (hopefully an easy way to remember it) we could invite you to join us for lunch or dinner in Mabee or Coates. 

 

That means that if we want to try this we have to start it fast – TOMORROW!    So, tomorrow, October 1, I hope that anyone interested will join me in Mabee for dinner at 6:00 pm. (Dave can’t make it on such short notice but he’ll be at future gatherings.)  I’ll stake out a table and figure out a way to make myself known – maybe you will look for me if you remember what I look like or look for some sort of sign.  It might be helpful to know who I am expecting/looking for, so feel free to write back to me (if you reply-all it will go to everyone – so I added my individual email) or just show up tomorrow.  There’s no set agenda – we’re hoping to hear how you are doing and serve as a resource for questions, ideas, etc.  Please, do come, don’t leave your faculty marshal sitting by herself! J

 

Also, look for an upcoming email from us about Fall Break, midterms, mid-semester grades, and more…  If you have questions before then, do write or call us!
