Trinity Students,

ASR elections are coming up VERY soon!  This is a great opportunity to get involved in a leadership role on campus and, as you can see in our issue update below, make a real difference on campus.

The election timeline is as follows:

Monday, March 16th: Filing for Candidacy Opens
Sunday, March 22nd: Filing Closes, Campaigning Begins
Thursday, March 26th: Speak Out
Sunday, March 29th: Campaigning Ends
Monday, March 30th: Voting
Tuesday, March 31st: Voting
Wednesday, April 1st: Voting, Results Posted

Applications are attached and can also be found at the Coates Information Desk.

If you are not interested in running but know someone who you feel would make a good ASR Senator, Vice President, or President, e-mail me their name and we will anonymously inform them that they have been nominated for the position.

So other than all that, what has ASR been working on?

- Co-ed housing resolution passed ( http://www.trinity.edu/student_org/asr/files/resolutions/ASR_Resolution_Co-Ed_Housing.doc )

- Open Access resolution passed ( http://www.trinity.edu/student_org/asr/files/resolutions/ASR_Resolution_Open_Access.doc )

- ASR/TIGER/Student Finance Board restructuring

- Revision of the Joint Statement on Student Rights and Freedoms

- Installing a printer in the Thomas 3rd study lounge

- Installing a permanent disc golf course in the area behind Laurie Auditorium

- Automatic wakeup calls on dorm phones

- End-of-year student yard sale

ASR also has partnered with Aramark and ResLife to create a cooking class taught by Miguel Ardid, Director of Dining Services.  The classes will be held weekly for six weeks and cost $15 each.  Spots are reserved for junior and senior students and are VERY limited, so e-mail Maria Flannery (mflanner@trinity.edu) if you are interested!

If you have an idea that you'd like us to work on, just e-mail me or ASR@trinity.edu. Or run for office and you can make it happen on your own!

And lastly, TUVAC's S.A.V.E. Day is coming up soon!  Check out a message from them below.

Thanks,

Adam
