Opportunities, and More!
Trinity Students,
If you haven't yet been to one of the cooking classes offered through a partnership between ASR, Dining Services and ResLife, come check out the last one of the semester tomorrow! This class, taught by Director of Dining Services Miguel Ardid will be held today at 3:30pm in the Skyline Room in upstairs Coates. The cost is $15, payable in TigerBucks or cash, which covers all the supplies and materials you will need, and you get to keep/eat the food you make! We're makin' enchiladas tomorrow!!! E-mail Maria Flannery (mflanner@trinity.edu) if you have any questions.
Secondly, if you have stuff you want to sell, or if you want to buy some stuff, come out to the Prassel Lawn between 10am and 5pm on Monday, May 4th (the first Reading Day), sit at a table, bring some study materials, and sell (or barter!) your stuff! Textbooks, furniture, electronics, posters, whatever you want. Either bring the item itself or bring pictures of it. ASR will arrange for Goodwill pickup of unsold items if you wish to have them donated. Questions? E-mail Brian Rusk (brusk@trinity.edu).
Thirdly, we are still accepting applications for the Student Conduct Board and Conduct Review Board. If you're interested in either of these, please reply back to me. If you're interested in serving on a University Committee for the '09-'10 school year, please e-mail me as well. If you are interested in serving as one of ASR's internal coordinators (Accountant, Secretary, et cetera), please e-mail either myself or Emily Faber, next year's ASR President (efaber@trinity.edu).
And fourthly, don't forget about the Trinity Presidential Search Open Forum. JR Hurd, the Chair of Trinity’s presidential search committee, and Shelly Weiss Storbeck, lead consultant on the Trinity search and Managing Partner of Storbeck/Pimentel, Trinity’s presidential search firm, will be on campus on April 30 from 12:15-1:15pm in Chapman Auditorium to listen to your ideas, address your concerns, and answer your questions. If you have class that conflicts with part of the forum, feel free to come late or leave early.
Keep an eye out for one last e-mail from me with an update on all the fun stuff that ASR has been packing in to these last few weeks of classes. We've been keeping busy even as the crunch-time of finals draws near, but after that it'll be over and out until Emily Faber takes over in the fall!
As always, if there's anything you want ASR to work on, don't hesitate to give me an e-mail or a call. And remember, don't stress out too much over papers, projects, quizzes, tests, and finals. Spring is here, so take some time to go outside and play (by the way, if anyone wants to ride bikes, I'm always down). Don't forget to relax. It'll be worth it.
Thanks,
Adam
