The attached community alert identifies a person of interest in the theft of laptop computers on campus.

PERSON OF INTEREST UPDATE: On February 27, 2009, at approximately 10:08 a.m., this individual pictured below was observed near campus by a DCS officer and detained.

FOLLOWUP: This individual was questioned concerning his possible involvement in recent burglaries on Trinity University. Though he was identified through a photo lone-up by members of the campus community, this individual denied any involvement and provided written consent to search his vehicle. No contraband was found in his vehicle; presently there are no additional leads to warrant further investigation at this time. He was issued a criminal trespass warning barring notice and escorted off campus; however, he is still considered a person of interest.
