From the Office of the President

April 13, 2009

To All Faculty, Staff, and Students:

National Student Employment Week (April 13-17) provides an excellent opportunity to recognize the contributions of our student employees explicitly and officially. Our student employees make valuable contributions to Trinity University's effectiveness and efficiency. Balancing work with academic, social, and extracurricular commitments, they enable the University to better serve our campus community, as well as the general public. Acknowledging this fact, how often do we recognize them as an integral part of who we are and what we do in accomplishing our mission to be a national leader among liberal arts colleges and universities?

During this week, consider setting aside time to be intentional and creative about thanking the students that work in your department. In addition, the next time you run across a student who is working diligently, and whose efforts are making Trinity a better place, be sure to express your appreciation.

As President of Trinity University and on behalf of the faculty, students, staff, and community members who benefit from their hard work, I thank all our student employees for their dedication and contributions to our campus community.

Sincerely,
