Trinity students:

I neglected to remind everyone of the need to remove all file-sharing software from your computers when you returned from Spring Break.  As a result, Trinity has received DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) take-down notices from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Before you receive a take-down notice, please take a moment to remove any and all file-sharing software from your computer.  This includes (but may not be limited to) Gnutella, Bear Share, LimeWire, BitTorrent, and others.  Even if these programs bill themselves as “legal,” if you do not own the copyrights to the music, movies or games you share using those programs, you are legally exposed to copyright infringement.

For instructions on how to remove those programs, see: http://iraa.trinity.edu/iraa/x540.xml

Thanks for your attention to this request!
