Dear Friends:

We would like to invite you to join us for lunch on Monday, October 20th   to celebrate “A Greener Day at Trinity”!  This event kicks-off a new era of greening the curriculum, buildings, and student activities. You have probably seen the new recycling barrels around campus. There is much more to come at ARAMARK, in classes and dorms.

Be a part of the process!  We have invited nine “green leaders,” like Molly Ellis and Kelly Lyons, to sit down and talk about sustainability over lunch. Come to the Fiesta Room, hear what they have to say, offer your ideas and get involved.   Table leaders and their topics include:

Miguel Ardid: Food Service Director, ARAMARK

Larry Clark: Green Architecture, Bender Wells Clark Design

Elizabeth Earnley, Trinity Alumna, Edwards Aquifer

Molly Ellis: Class of 2010, Students for Sustainability

Bianca Hunt: Recycling at Greenstar/Vista Fibers

Kelly Lyons: Professor, Restoration Biology

Howard Peak: State and Local Government Affairs—AT&T, Hike and Bike Trails

Talley Summerlin: Trinity Alumnus and Director, Green Canary Consulting (Austin, TX)

David Tuttle: Dean of Students and Director of Student Life, Campus Recycling

Please invite your friends to join us for vibrant, community discussions about sustainability!  Lunch is fully funded by the President’s Task Force on Sustainability, but participants must reserve a place at a table. RSVP with your choice of discussion group by Friday, October 17 to Jessica.tamayo@trinity.edu. Register soon to join the table you ant to sit at; we are limited to less than a hundred people and the list is growing.

Sincerely,

Richard Reed
