Subject: Review of the Honor Code - NEED YOUR INPUT

Dear Trinity students,

The Academic Honor Code has been in place at Trinity University since the 2004-05 academic year.  As published in the Student Handbook (Part V. B. under the Section on “The Academic Honor Code”, p. 127):

A formal review of the Academic Honor Code will be conducted no later than the end of the fifth year of implementation by a review committee to determine how well the honor code system is operating and to recommend any necessary changes.

We need your input and ideas regarding the Honor Code.  First, we are conducting a survey on academic integrity at Trinity, which is almost identical to one administered to Trinity students in 2003-04 prior to implementation of the Honor Code.  Below is the link to the survey; please complete it as soon as possible and no later than Feb. 9.

Second, we invite you to participate in focus group discussions or individual meetings with the review committee.  Anyone is welcome to participate, regardless of whether or not you have had a experience with the Honor Council.  Contact Diane Smith (dsmith@trinity.edu; x7656) if you are interested in participating.
