Subject: Preparing for Spring 2009 Registration
Importance: High
Greetings Undergraduate Students:
Registration for Spring 2009 is coming soon! Here is important information to help you prepare.
Registration – November 6-21, 2009
The Spring 2009 Class Schedule is now available on TigerPAWS (use the “Search for Sections” link). Printed copies of the Class Schedule will be available October 31.
Undergraduate students:
ü Log onto TigerPAWS at this time and check over your Transcript and Degree Audit. Make sure all transfer credits and AP credits are posted, and that your degree audit correctly lists all approved majors/minors. Note that additional majors/minors are reflected at the end of the degree audit. If any changes or updates are necessary, or if you have any questions, contact the Office of the Registrar.
ü If declaring a major or minor, all declaration forms must be received in the Office of the Registrar by October 20 in order to be processed for November registration. Forms should be submitted promptly to allow academic departments adequate time for processing. All transfer credit approvals and transcripts for courses previously taken must also be received by October 20th.
ü Make sure you have cleared all holds from the Business Office, Health Services, Student Affairs, etc. You can check for these holds on the Registration Status link on TigerPAWS.
ü Registration times will be posted to your Registration Status screen on October 28 (they are not yet updated).
ü All students must be advised prior to registration. Important notice to Seniors: contact your advisor 2 weeks prior to registration to set up your advising appointment. All other students: contact your advisor at least 7 days in advance of your registration date to schedule an appointment.
ü BE PREPARED! Begin planning for your required advising session by reviewing your degree audit and the Spring 2009 class schedule. Prior to meeting with your advisor, review your Degree Audit on TigerPAWS, look over your Transcript and catalog, and prepare a tentative schedule of classes.
ü All continuing students are expected to register by November 21. Those who do not register by November 21 for any reason (including registration holds) will be subject to late fees and will not be permitted to register until late registration in January.
Thank you, and good luck with advising and registration!
