10, 2008 TO: Trinity University Community RE: Procedures for Weather-Related Schedule Changes From time to time, weather-related conditions may make it necessary to close the University or delay the opening of the University offices and postpone the start of classes. When this occurs, the University will initiate communication with the local radio and television stations to announce that the University will close, or that the opening of offices and the start of classes will be delayed, or that classes will be held as scheduled and offices will open at their normal times. Communication will be posted on the Trinity website at www.trinity.edu, and e-mail announcements will be sent to the campus community. TrinAlert text messages will also be sent to those who have registered for the service. If you have not registered for TrinAlert, go to http://www.trinity.edu/departments/iraa/textalert/index.html and follow the instructions. If you are uncertain about the University’s operating status during such weather conditions, you should contact your supervisor, director, department chair, or residential life student staff member for more information. |
