Other Programs Chosen Through Advising

There are many very good-quality
educational programs with whom Trinity does not have a formal agreement.
Often these are programs that are more focused either on a particular country
or major.
These programs may include:
- Study
Centers (with American style course offerings for American students who need
specific classes)
- Enrollment
in university courses (either in classes for foreign students or regular
university classes with local students)
- Academic
internships
- Academic
field work
- Intensive
language study
Or a combination of all of these things
So it’s at least possible for a student
to take language classes with other American students, enroll in university
classes with other foreign students or local students, and do an academic
internship or independent research project all at the same time.
Typically, programs provide a good
orientation, guaranteed housing, language support at the appropriate level,
excursions, academic advising and assistance with registration, and emergency
assistance and support in dealing with the unexpected. New programs are
being developed all the time, and Trinity considers new options every
year. However, it takes some time to research a new program. If a
student wishes us to consider a new program, the request must be made very
early in the previous semester.
