DOING BUSINESS OFF CAMPUS WITH TIGERBUCKS!

THE TIGER IS LOOSE-OFF CAMPUS!
By now we hope that you have noticed some the materials advertising the off campus merchants who have contracted to accept Trinity University Tigerbucks as a form of payment for goods and services in their establishments. These merchants recognize the value Trinity University (TU) students as customers and welcome you to their establishments.

WHAT IT IS
The Off Campus Vendor program is a result of a partnership between the TU Association of Student Representatives (ASR), The Tiger Card Office, our corporate partners, Off Campus Solutions, JSA Technologies, and the local vendors who have agreed to accept Tiger Bucks as a form of payment. Area vendors currently under contract to accept Tiger bucks are listed on the Tiger Bucks website www.tigerbucks.com new vendors are continually being added, check the site frequently to see who is new!

HOW IT WORKS
• The off campus vendor program operates similarly to the process used on campus for Tiger Bucks sales.

• Merchants are required to insure that the person presenting the Trinity ID card as payment is in fact the person pictured on the ID card. Merchants are required to confiscate cards present to them by anyone other then the owner.

• Illegible, defaced, invalid or unreadable cards will not be accepted.

• All sales must be entered into the merchant’s point of sale system by swiping a valid Trinity ID card at the time of sale, at the merchant’s place of business.

• Merchants are not permitted to manually key in ID numbers into the point of sale system to post sales.

• Lost or stolen cards will not be accepted.

• Sales are posted in real time to student accounts. Accounts with insufficient funds on deposit to cover the amount of the sale will not be accepted.

• Sales are only processed using Tiger Bucks Accounts. Meal plans & university departmental charge sales are not accepted off-campus.

• Student Patrons have the option of adding gratuities to their Tiger Bucks transaction at the time of sale.

• Student Patrons will be required to sign the merchant’s sales receipt at the time of purchase.

• Transaction activity can be viewed on student accounts via the www.tigerbucks.com web site, so be sure to sign up and manage your account.

• Student patrons requesting refunds or credits for purchases made using Tiger Bucks will direct their request directly to the Merchant at the Merchants place of business.

• Merchants by the terms of their agreement are prohibited from charging service fees or higher then listed prices for sales posted to Tiger Bucks.

• Look for “We accept Trinity University Tiger Bucks” signs/banners in local businesses off campus. Encourage your favorite merchants not yet participating to join the program by contacting Off Campus Solutions.

• Watch the www.tigerbucks.com web site for student specials or “virtual coupons” offered by participating vendors.

A DISCLAIMER
The Off Campus tiger bucks program is a Dine-in [or a take out/pickup orders] program at the Merchants place of business only. DUE TO EXISTING CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS IN PLACE AT TRINITY UNIVERSITY, OFF CAMPUS MERCHANTS [THAT SELL FOOD] ARE PROHIBITED FROM ACCEPTING THE TIGER BUCKS ACCOUNT AS PAYMENT FOR DELIVERY. Purchases for delivering product/services to the Trinity Campus must be handled with checks, cash, or credit card according to the individual merchant policies. Participating merchants violating Trinity’s contractual requirements will be removed from the off campus vendor program.

The ASR & Tiger Card Office team has worked hard to put the off campus program in place, support these efforts by patronizing our off campus vendors.

Suggestions for new vendors are always welcome!
Make your new vendor suggestions to your ASR representatives.

ENJOY!

Sincerely yours,

TU Association of Student Representatives
