R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) is a nationally recognized self-defense program for women. The objective of R.A.D. is “to develop and enhance the options of self-defense so they may become viable considerations to the women who is attacked.” R.A.D. is offered as a 1 hour credit course in the Physical Education department and as a non-credit continuing education class that is approximately 15 hours in length. Both classes are taught by the Environmental Safety Specialist, Charles McCoy who is a certified as R.A.D. instructor.
